Resend alternative
PigeonAtlas vs. Resend
The same API, so leaving is two lines
PigeonAtlas accepts Resend's request shape and answers in Resend's response shape, so the honest question is not whether you can move but whether you should. Resend is a good product with a bigger team, more features and a lower price at higher volumes. Here is where each one wins.
Resend is the better choice for
- Teams sending more than 50,000 emails a month on transactional mail alone, where Resend Pro is cheaper.
- Anyone who needs attachments, SMTP or several recipients per request today.
- Companies that want official SDKs in many languages and a larger support team.
PigeonAtlas is the better choice if
- A newsletter must never delay a password reset. Our broadcasts run on a separate queue, on every plan.
- You want newsletters priced per email, not per contact, inside the same plan.
- Your data has to stay in the EU. Resend stores account data in the US.
- You want a paid plan below $20 a month. Starter is $9 for 10,000 emails.

Moving from Resend
- Create a PigeonAtlas account and verify your sending domain. The domain page shows the DKIM, SPF and MX records and ticks each one when it resolves.
- Create an API key. It starts with pa_ and is shown once.
- Change the base URL from https://api.resend.com to https://pigeonatlas.com/v1 and swap the key. The body you POST to /emails stays the same.
- The Resend SDK pins its own host, so replace the SDK call with a plain fetch. It is fewer lines than the import.
- Point a webhook endpoint at your handler and verify the DP-Signature header. The migration notes list every difference.
